Today, on June 16, 2022, the Pax Humana Foundation was formally established in Rome through the joint efforts of Ara Pacis Initiatives for Peace, Eni, and Luiss Guido Carli University. The foundation serves as an independent strategic and operational center dedicated to advancing peace, security, and development in the Afro-Mediterranean region, a direct evolution of Pax Humana Hub established on April 21, 2021.
The core mission of Pax Humana is to provide tangible and coordinated contributions aimed at fostering stability and development across the wider Mediterranean area, encompassing Southern Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, and Africa.
In the pursuit of its goals, Pax Humana encourages interdisciplinary and cross-cutting human connections, advocating for a human-centered economy through commercial partnerships that prioritize dignity and equity. These initiatives are crafted to advance peace and mutual economic growth. The Foundation’s programs were presented on April 21, 2022, at Luiss Guido Carli University and were well-received, including by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi di Maio, who spoke of “builders of dialogue in a time of crisis, […] who have the merit of focusing on operational objectives.”
