Ibrahim Al Koni, internationally renowned Tuareg writer, awarded the Luiss Global Fellowship

On Monday, June 26, 2023, at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, Ibrahim Al Koni, internationally renowned Tuareg writer, was honored with the Luiss Global Fellowship. This prestigious recognition is conferred by the University to individuals who have distinguished themselves globally in cultural, artistic, economic, social, and technical-scientific fields.

The Pax Humana Foundation strongly supported the writer’s candidacy for his extraordinary contribution to literature, unveiling the profound metaphysical significance of the Sahara and the timeless cultural and mythological universe of the Tuareg through his epic and spiritual poetics.

Alongside him, Massimo Ciociola, founder and CEO of Musixmatch, Alberto Dalmasso, founder and CEO of Satispay, and Jhumpa Lahiri, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist, also received the Luiss Global Fellowship, thus joining the community of exceptional personalities who serve as role models and reference points for the University and, most importantly, the students.
