From September 18 to 21, 2023, the Pax Humana Foundation promoted the visit of a high-profile Rwandan delegation on the occasion of Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech, the most important international exhibitions for machinery, technologies, accessories, components, leather, and fabrics for the footwear, leather goods, and tanning industries.
The Rwandan delegation had the opportunity to meet, learn, and engage with leading Italian companies in the sector and explore possible synergies and collaborations for the development of the leather industry in Rwanda. On this occasion, the delegation also visited the Tanning District of Santa Croce sull’Arno, one of the largest and most renowned in Europe.
The visit, organized by Italprogetti in collaboration with the National Union of Tanning Industry (UNIC), took place following a previous survey by the same representatives in May 2023, promoted by the Pax Humana Foundation in Kigali to understand and evaluate the Rwandan tanning industry system.
The initiative is part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Foundation and the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) dated December 7, 2022, for the promotion of initiatives supporting the economic, cultural, and social growth of Rwanda.”
