Rwanda Meets Italian Excellences: New Opportunities for Mutual Growth

DESCRIPTION OF THE INITIATIVE

The Pax Humana Foundation facilitated a series of meetings between a high-profile Rwandan delegation led by Clare Akamanzi, former CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, and Italian leaders in the fields of fashion, design, food and beverage, communication, education, and energy to explore partnership opportunities and develop projects that promote mutual economic growth.

In particular, the Foundation facilitated meetings with representatives of several prominent industry associations, including Confindustria Moda, Federorafi, Assocalzaturifici, Assopellettieri, and Sistema Moda Italia. Each of these exchanges allowed the Rwandan delegation to learn about investment opportunities, capacity-building, and collaboration with leading Italian companies in their respective sectors.

Additionally, the Foundation organized a visit to the “Massimo Baldini” School of Journalism at Luiss Guido Carli University to discuss potential academic partnerships. It also facilitated a meeting with Promomedia a company specializing in territory promotion and D&C an importer of food products, sweets, wines, and spirits. Finally, the delegation met with representatives from Unioncamere.

These activities took place within the framework of the Pax Humana Foundation’s program to support the social, economic, and cultural development of Rwanda.
